Pre-Construction
At Oak & Stone, we require a pre-construction phase as the first step toward building your dream home. This process is designed to ensure you have a clear vision and a complete set of architectural plans tailored to your needs and preferences.
During this phase, we will:

The goal of this process is to create a well-thought-out plan that aligns with your expectations and avoids surprises later on. By the end of the pre-construction phase, you’ll have a finished set of architectural plans and design decisions in hand.
Should you decide that Oak & Stone Construction is not the right fit—whether it’s due to timing, budget, or another reason—you are free to take these plans to another builder. We want you to feel confident and empowered in your decision, knowing you are not locked into working with us.
This approach ensures that, regardless of who builds your home, you walk away with a design you love and a solid foundation for your project.

Construction
After the pre-construction phase, we will review the contract with you and explain how we operate on a cost-plus basis. Cost-plus method basically is ensuring transparency by breaking down all costs associated with your project. You’ll see the actual costs of materials and labor, along with a fixed markup for our services. This approach allows flexibility for changes during construction and provides a clear understanding of where your investment is going, giving you confidence and control throughout the process.
Once construction begins, we strive to make the experience as seamless and stress-free as possible. You’ll be given access to a personal project portal, where all the details of your build are available in one convenient place. Whether you’re local or managing your project remotely, your portal provides real-time updates, detailed schedules, daily logs, and on-site photos.
Additionally, through your portal, you’ll receive transparent cost breakdowns, showing exactly what’s being spent and where. This level of access ensures there are no surprises and allows you to stay connected to the progress of your home at all times.
